DIRECTOR OF MARKETING

Miro is looking for a digital innovator and marketing strategist with extensive experience building brand loyalty and leading the overall strategy and direction for digital marketing, public relations and social media.  The ideal candidate is passionate about brands, creating memorable experiences and has a proven track record of dreaming up and executing stellar communications, activations, and campaigns. This role is also responsible for creating and implementing public and media relations strategies and tactics and has the persistence and relationship-building personality to drive consistent, robust coverage of the Miro story with influential press outlets.


RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead overall strategy and direction for digital marketing (web/mobile), social media and public relations

Craft and maintain company voice, tone, and messaging across media channels

Be an active thought partner to business/product teams to ensure programs, features, and communications are on-brand, aligned with our beliefs and values and consistently reflect the visual identity and voice of Miro

Help design web-based marketing materials; create and own the content roadmap, and develop/contract out the various content asset needs; collaborate with product team to align content with company initiatives

Create captivating content for social channels, campaigns, and conferences

Create and maintain Miro’s editorial calendar

Develop, build and nurture relationships with industry experts and influencers

Stay informed of marketing and media trends, as well as competitors, to keep our strategies agile and effective

Foster a warm, productive and collaborative company culture


REQUIREMENTS

Passion and energy to function as a CMO for a small startup; adept at scaling marketing from the ground-up, blending in-house, freelance, and agency producers; ability to take initiative and thrive in a startup environment

Data-driven; experience with a/b testing to maximize success of content marketing activities

Innovation and skills to build Marketing into a growth-driver for business; deep background in web marketing, brand building, content development, social media campaigns, and PR; Experience delivering commercially successful products to market with a small team

Drive to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with priority consumer, scientific, and business media

Success producing content to further business goals including blogs, white-papers, video, infographics, news articles, and presentations; successful track record of using social platforms as a nurture-to-acquisition channel for new clients; nurture-to-retention channel for current clients

Excellent organizational skills, with ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and stakeholders while being detail-oriented and effective at time management

5+ years work experience as a Content Marketing Manager, Sr. Copywriter, preferably at a Digital Marketing agency; bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Journalism or relevant field (preferred)
